A facemask dispenser where you pay with your phone

Since everyone always carries their phone on them we thought buying masks at school with cash was too complicated for students who had to borrow money. To solve this problem I created the QuickKapje automaat. It is like a normal vending machine that dispenses face masks. However it doesn't accept coins, instead you pay with your phone using iDeal. By scanning the QR code on the machine you get taken to our website where you can checkout. You then pay and when your payment is processed by my server a mask will be dispensed by the machine and off you go. It's that simple!

A simple and easy to use system for timing cross country and other athletics races

The system contains a lazer timing gate (the box on the tripod) that connects to a laptop where the times are saved and can be connected to a runner and be uploaded or sent to a server.

Live athlete results timing

Since I created my first (long distance) race timing setup I have wanted to integrate live athlete tracking.

Users are able to lookup their name from the homepage and then view their live split times or finish times. I might want to add a new part where they can find photos they were tagged in but this would require a lot of manual tagging or a ML model.

My main priority was having a website that also was responsive on mobile and on desktop/tablets. This took quite some time and complex programming.
